The golf course is challenging (I hear, I don’t play) but enjoyable. The residents are friendly and there is always something going on at the clubhouse. The community is gated with 2 guards 24/7. They also patrol the area regularly.

You will love living in Timber Greens. The Home Owners Association Fee is $180. for the master HOA and the Fairway Village Association fee is $90.  The lawn and bushes are maintained, the exterior painting is done approximately every 7-8 years. Use of the clubhouse, pool and spa are included. 

We have lived in Timber Greens for almost 8 years, and we find it to be one of the nicest places we have lived. It is beautifully maintained throughout. 

Where is Timber Greens Winter Retreat? Timber Greens is in New Port Richey, FL. on the west coast; just west of Tampa, and north of Tarpon Springs.  

The main entrance is on River Crossing Boulevard between Starkey Blvd., and Little Road. There is a supermarket just down the road apiece (Publix) and restaurants and shopping in the Trinity area just a couple of miles away.

Head to the Suncoast Parkway to find all the things that Tampa has to offer. The Florida Aquarium is one of my favorites, along with a visit to The Firemen’s Museum, and all the sports venues and shopping.

Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks; a place you would love to visit, I’m sorry you weren’t there a couple of weeks back; it was a great day to go. 

It was Art and Crafts Day on the Sponge Docks, and there were lots of great things to look at as we strolled the main road, Dodecanese Blvd. It was 80 degrees with a fantastic breeze that almost blew the vendors wares off their tables. It was also cloudy (dark, heavy clouds) but that helped to keep us from getting crispy. No rain ever showed its face.

In Fact, the Sponge Docks has lots of shops and restaurants. And the Greek food is yummy. And, the seafood is great. The water views are fantastic and the water birds are fun to watch. 

Take a look at those sponges. Many varieties are found there.

For example, A different variety: these are pure white but look yellow in photo.

Surprisingly, a sea weed covered bicycle.

Tarpon Springs, FL is a great place to visit anytime. We love it all year round.

To clarify Tarpon Springs is north of Clearwater and south of New Port Richey.  Of course, it’s on the Gulf of Mexico. Also east of Tampa.
