Coastal CleanUp Day 2016

In fact, Coastal Clean Up Day has been happening since 1985 when a group of volunteers met at beaches and coastal waterways to take part in Coastal Clean-up Day by the Ocean Conservancy. Beach clean-up is necessary to our health, our wildlife, and the economy. You can take a look at my 2015 Coastal Clean Up post for more information.

Florida does it’s part;  in 2014, 23,000 volunteers picked up 285,000 lbs. of trash from beaches and waterways in the state. Furthermore, if you wish to participate in the clean-up; click here to visit the Ocean Conservancy website.  Most state parks waive entrance fees for clean-up volunteers.

To quote Ocean Conservancy:  Three decades of Cleanups have yielded more than 210 million pounds of trash being collected and saved from polluting our ocean. Over 11.5 million volunteers have covered more than 360,000 miles of coastlines across the world.” “More than 18 million pounds of trash was collected by nearly 800, 000 volunteers during the 2015 clean-up”

Keep Our Oceans Clean

Finally, help keep our oceans clean and healthy for us and all the ocean creatures. Two things you can do is skip the straw when you order beverages, and use reusable water bottles instead of throw-aways.

Stuff The Bus Needs Volunteers

Stuff The Bus Needs Volunteers for the 2016 school supplies event.

While most families enjoy going shopping to purchase school supplies, many families struggle to give their children the school supplies they need; in other words, many of our teachers spend their own money to enhance children’s experience in the classroom.

Stuff The Bus Needs Volunteers

Where Is Hudson Florida?

Hudson Florida is approximately 35 miles north of the sponge capital of the world, Tarpon Springs; and west of Tampa.

In fact, many homes are on the waterfront while others are in small and not-so-small subdivisions like Beacon Woods Golf and Country Club, with a variety of communities under it’s umbrella. The waterfront community of Hudson Beach has canals which lead to the inland waterways.

The population of Hudson is approximately 12,000 according to Urban Stats; about half of that is occupied homes.

Timber Greens Lovely Villa Pending in less than one day. Includes 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage on a quiet loop. (I know because I live across the street- love our loop).

Moreover, the loop is situated within the main area of Timber Greens where the clubhouse, pool, restaurant and pro shop also reside.

Timber Greens Lovely Villa Pending

First, let’s remember that Timber Greens is a 55 plus community.  One person has to be that age or older in order to take title on the deed.

Second, Timber Greens Country Club is a golf community. The beautiful golf course designed by Ron Garl wanders around and through the complex. With it’s conservation areas, ponds, fountains, and lovely greens, this is a great place to play golf (if that’s your dream). We have lots of people who live in Timber Greens who do not play golf, and there are lots of activities for everyone at the clubhouse.
