[W]hat are Little Free Libraries? They are weatherproof boxes filled with books from the County Libraries and contributors. You can take a book without having to check it out.
The Little Free Libraries Network goes by the motto “Take A Book, Leave A book” which means that you can take a book to read, or leave one of your own that you have already read. To read more about the Little Free Libraries, click here to visit their website.
Tracey Blimes, the manager of the Port Richey Library says it is all on the honor system. The goal is to have books available to the people who are not typical library patrons.
Little Free Libraries can be found at Starkey Wilderness Park in New Port Richey; Key Vista Nature Park, Holiday, Crews Lake Wilderness Park in the Shady Hills area, and Withlacoochee River Park near Dade City. Now you can go to the park and enjoy a good book.
